#MeetTheCurator| Georgiou Markos

Markos Georgiou studied Hospitality Management at the Swiss Hotel Management School in Switzerland and has been involved in hotel sales since 2013, starting as a Market Associate at the multinational company Expedia Group. His main responsibilities included ensuring the competitiveness of hotels across all market sectors, as well as maintaining close and efficient cooperation with hoteliers.
In 2014, he was promoted to Associate Market Manager, taking responsibility for key markets such as the Peloponnese, the Dodecanese, and Athens. He applied advanced expertise to develop a high-quality portfolio, focusing on expansion, performance optimization, competitiveness, and the global appeal of accommodation partners.
Since 2018, he has been part of Loguers as Business Development & Operations Manager, achieving outstanding results with remarkable growth rates and significant profitability for more than 90 hotels across 19 destinations in Greece and abroad. Through the effective implementation of specialized Sales and Marketing techniques and strategies, he has driven immediate results, continuous revenue growth, and the company’s expansion—reflected in increased staff and the establishment of physical offices in Athens, Heraklion, and Rethymno.

Giorgos Zaras lives and works in Athens and has been active in the hospitality industry for the past 12 years.
He completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Derby in International Hospitality Management, with his thesis focusing on sales strategies applied in Greek hotels and their effectiveness.
Since 2018, he has been specializing in hotel sales, having also worked for two years at Booking.com as a sales account manager for markets such as Mykonos, Paros, and the Peloponnese.
Giorgos has managed a portfolio of high-end, five-star properties, primarily focused on online sales. With extensive experience in developing sales strategies for over 60 hotels across diverse destinations, he now serves as Business Development Manager at Loguers.

Orestis Mathioudakis was born in Rethymno and raised in Athens. He graduated from the 4th Lyceum of Athens in 1992 and continued his studies in Computer Science, specializing in Programming, at Greenwich College in London.
Since 1995, he has been involved with the internet, building a distinguished career in the field of Online Marketing. With over 15 years of experience, he has specialized in the creation and implementation of Digital Marketing strategies, providing practical, business-focused solutions tailored to each client’s needs. His professional path includes collaborations with leading advertising agencies and the management of projects for major clients in sectors such as Tourism, Finance, Food Products, Fashion/Beauty, and Pharmaceuticals.
A Google Partner since 2015, he has been recognized for his deep expertise in promoting tourism businesses through digital tools. He has also been featured on Google Greece’s official blog and took part in the “Grow Greek Tourism Online” campaign, with a special focus on alternative tourism in Crete (Yoga on Crete).
Since 2019, he has been leading the digital strategy of Loguers as Head of Digital Marketing, playing a key role in the successful implementation of innovative digital campaigns and in boosting the performance of the company’s clients.
Orestis firmly believes in the power of collaboration and networking as a path to excellence in the digital world. In his free time, he enjoys long cycling rides and swimming.
