The "ONYM Curated Villas" project in Plaka, Naxos, comprises a contemporary complex of two high-specification residences. Utilizing a modern architectural vernacular, the design reinterprets traditional Cycladic morphology through a contemporary, minimalist lens, establishing a bespoke dialogue between privacy and the surrounding landscape.
The project synthesizes geometric purity with the materiality of the Naxian natural environment, emphasizing the seamless spatial flow between interior and exterior spaces, while establishing spatial focal points that functionally frame vistas of the Aegean Sea. The rough texture of local Naxian stone, juxtaposed with the quartz-surfaced walls and chestnut timber elements, delivers a tactile experience that structurally anchors the building to its context.
The meticulously detailed lighting scheme accentuates architectural forms without overpowering the composition. Concurrently, the minimalist furnishing, crafted from natural materials, reinforces the project's Mediterranean identity. The resulting design constitutes a proposal of understated luxury, where technical precision converges with absolute serenity.
