DESCRIPTION

This project concerns the design of a 51.74 sq.m. luxury suite located on the 7th floor of a building in the historic center of Athens. The design concept is rooted in strict minimalism and visual clarity, aiming to create a serene sanctuary within the urban environment. The aesthetic direction is defined by clean lines, the complete absence of superfluous decorative elements, and an atmosphere of understated luxury that harmonizes naturally with the Attic landscape.

The functional layout addresses the need for flexibility and optimal space utilization. The suite is organized into two main zones: the shared living area (living room, kitchen, and dining area) and the private area (bedroom with an en-suite bathroom). The relationship between these zones is dynamic rather than fixed. Through intelligent architectural features—such as a custom-designed rotating TV unit and sliding panels—the guest can either visually unify the entire suite or create a more private bedroom environment, depending on their needs. This configuration ensures seamless circulation and maximum functionality.

Biophilic Design & Natural Daylight: Extensive glazing allows abundant natural daylight to penetrate deep into the interior, reducing the need for artificial lighting while enhancing guests' comfort and wellbeing.
Spatial Adaptability: The flexible layout enables the suite to transform effortlessly into either a relaxing retreat or a productive remote-working environment, responding to the evolving needs of today's bleisure (business and leisure) travelers.

The material palette is deliberately restrained, emphasizing the authenticity and tactile qualities of natural materials. Natural oak wood is used for wall cladding and doors, introducing warmth while creating a refined contrast with the raw texture of polished cement walls. Sandy beige and warm gray tones dominate the color palette, while black metal details provide a clean, contemporary character. Custom-designed minimalist furniture and strategically integrated concealed lighting emphasize the purity of the architectural lines, creating a calm and alanced spatial experience.
