Adel Private Suites is a two-storey luxury hotel complex in Agios Savvas, Mykonos, which was created by reconstructing a pre-existing building. It combines stone and wood materials with the water element, as well as contemporary works of art, to showcase the traditional architecture while creating a contemporary art and living space (Art Hotel). The basic architectural idea is based on the desire to combine the traditional elements of Cycladic island architecture, with the elements of organic forms of modern architecture. The main purpose was the creation of simple and concise forms, that will be the ideal 'canvas' for the emergence of special artworks, designed from the beginning and exclusively for the hotel.
The hotel rooms are designed to offer the visitor an ideal relaxation environment. Each room is unique and different from the rest. The traditional Cycladic white colour on the walls, combined with the wooden beams on the roof and the wooden furniture, adds tranquility and warmth to the space. Beds and benches have a sculptural shape, while artwork on the walls as well as handmade cement luminaires, create a special atmosphere in the space. The bathrooms are characterized by simple, clean lines and combine the white colour with the materials of stone, wood and glass, offering a sense of purity and simplicity. The design of lighting and air conditioning has been done in a way that ensures comfort and absolute relaxation. Also the visitor can handle them with a special tablet, so that he customizes the atmosphere according to his desires. In the exterior space of the rooms, there are seating areas of stone and wood, placed under white wooden pergolas. At the same time, outdoor jacuzzis have been constructed, while elevated
private pools with wooden platforms and floating beds in the water are available at the ground floor rooms. The rooms are well separated to each other by stone walls that have been constructed in a distinctly wavy form. Also, the stone walls of the ground floor rooms enter into the water to form the independent private pools. The unique combination of the private pool and the outdoor jacuzzis, give the complex a distinctive style and trait.
The reception area on the first floor of the hotel complex was designed with matching sculpted forms in white and earthy colours, to welcome the visitor and create a feeling of warmth and hospitality.
The restaurant and bar area are located on the first floor, overlooking the entire area and following the lines and materials of the rest of the hotel.
